Cyprus/Greek Part (Cyprus)

On Cyprus, sport enthusiasts will find something to meet every wish. Alongside the classical watersports, hikers, mountain bikers and skiers will find ideal conditions.
From January until March, the Troodos mountain range is covered with a blanket of snow; a true skiers' paradise. From après-ski to the water, the mild temperatures make water sports possible the whole year round - at least for thick-skinned surfers and water skiers. The dreamy beaches in the south are ideal for surfing, diving, water skiing or simply to go for a paddle, which is a safer idea for small children on many of the flat beaches.
Various hiking routes may be followed through the 50 mls long and almost 40 mls wide Troodos mountain range, with its abundance of flora and fauna. Vineyards are located at an altitude of around 1,000 m and the delicious wines may be sampled in the wine producing villages below. Tourism has hardly touched these authentic areas and a rejuvenating calm dominates.
There are 4 golf courses (18 hole) close to Páphos and Limassol, upon which day guests are also welcome. Jeep safaris are also offered on the Akamas peninsula. More courageous holidaymakers are able to take to the air: paragliding, hang-gliding, aviation and gliding are all possible here.
